Edward C. Singer, Jr.
Edward Singer has extensive experience in representing landlords in the Bay Area’s complicated landscape of rent control. Prior to entering private practice, Ed was General Counsel to one of San Francisco’s largest residential landlords, where he dealt with all legal aspects of property management in the Bay Area. In that role, Ed developed the skills to cost effectively represent landlords in evictions, administrative proceedings and wrongful eviction suits. Ed prosecuted the winning appeal in Feldman v. 1100 Park Lane Associates, which changed wrongful eviction law in California and was named as one of the most important real estate cases of 2008.
Ed has extensive experience in court and administrative hearings. Ed has obtained multiple successful jury verdicts and court decisions on behalf of landlords in both prosecuting evictions and defending wrongful eviction actions.
Ed also has extensive experience in closing large real estate transactions and loans involving residential rental real estate. Since entering private practice, Ed has closed real estate transactions totaling in excess of $100 million.
